INFORMATION
Copyright & Image Usage
Draft for owner and legal review · October 30, 2026 · Not effective and not approved for publication.
Ownership must be explicit
The final session agreement must choose and document either retained photographer copyright with a defined client license, or a written transfer of specified rights. Neither option is selected by this draft. Buying a print, paying for a session, receiving files or deleting the photographer’s copies does not alone determine a copyright transfer.
Client use
Confirm whether the client may make personal prints, share with a partner, publish on social media, use professional profiles, edit files or use images commercially. Professional and promotional sessions may require a broader license than personal sessions. No license should imply permission to publish another participant without their consent.
Private sessions and releases
AMP.com will not publish or promote with private session photographs without explicit authorization. Participation consent, copyright arrangements and publication releases serve different purposes. Any release must identify the images, permitted uses and channels, duration where relevant, and the agreed process for withdrawal or future-use requests. Payment is not a publication release.
Website and purchased content
Website photographs and other original content may be protected by copyright. Request authorization for uses outside an applicable license or legal exception. Product licenses should identify what the purchaser may do; ownership of a physical item is distinct from ownership of reproduction rights. Do not claim exclusive ownership of third-party assets without verification.
Material supplied for editing
Clients must have the rights and participant permissions needed for the requested editing and delivery. Editing does not automatically transfer ownership of the source image. Agree any rights in the edited result and do not use editing to create unauthorized intimate depictions.
Deletion and permissions
The stated deletion policy remains separate from copyright. Any retained promotional image would need explicit permission and a clearly disclosed arrangement consistent with the public no-archive promise. No such exception is assumed here. See Privacy Policy for unresolved retention details.
